Playtime Day Nursery enjoys a fantastic reputation in our area. We are proud that our parents recommend us readily and that we’re looked to as one of the best childcare providers in Shepperton. The nursery is conveniently located a one-minute walk from Shepperton Railway Station and just a few minutes’ drive from Shepperton Town Centre. We have a small car park right next to the nursery entrance making drop-offs and collections swift and safe.

Extremely spacious rooms

Our nursery in Shepperton which had a transformation in August 2022 benefits from large spaces and high ceilings which make all our age-specific rooms feel extremely spacious. The size of our spaces means that we have the flexibility to tailor them specifically to the needs of our babies, toddlers, nursery age children and pre-schoolers. We offer a high standard of resources and equipment in all our rooms and our experienced and capable staff team are passionate about the children in their care.

Large outdoor space

Our outside space is a large, grassed garden which our children enjoy playing in. It has various areas and is equipped for outdoor learning and play. It’s a high priority for our staff team that the children spend as much time as possible outdoors.

Our approach is a curiosity based one

We know that children are naturally driven to explore, and we support this in what we provide for them in our nursery. Children have been learning, developing, and growing since their creation and we want to support this already acquired knowledge by using real and authentic items similar to those found at home.

Our staff work hard to get to know children and their families; what they are interested in, what is important and special to them and who they are. This enables staff members to plan interesting and exciting experiences at nursery for children to become involved with and this knowledge supports the team to introduce new and exciting learning opportunities for children too. We work in partnership with our families to include them in planning, providing ideas for families to deliver to children at home. This joined up holistic approach is beneficial to all and sees children thrive in our care. Our staff continuously update their knowledge with training supported by our childcare team.

The nursery caters for children from 3 months to 4 years old.

I cannot recommend Playtime Nursery Shepperton enough as a nursery or preschool to send your little ones to. Our journey as a family has not been an easy one with finding out that our Son was profoundly deaf whilst he was just 6 months in attendance. To say the nursery have been supportive is an understatement as they have very much been on this journey with us. They have gone above a beyond to listen to expert advice and put into place everything they are able to support our son’s development. My son’s Key worker keeps us informed of his days with them, what they have been up to and truly cares about him. She has even gone as far as to attend British Sign Language courses in her own time. I truly feel that the environment that the manager and her team breed at Playtime Nursery Shepperton is one that is safe, fun, caring and inclusive.

My daughter has been in the nursery since the Baby Room. It has been an incredible journey. Now she is in the pre-school and every day she is excited to go to the nursery. She loves the staff, her key worker, the other kids, the setting (especially the garden). She really enjoys all the activities organised through the week/day. She enjoys and has fun while learning. The staff encourage and support multilingual families making the kids feel proud they can speak more than one language. Now the staff are also getting her ready to go to school this September.
