The Nursery Manager, Emily, and staff at our Wendover Nursery and Pre-School thought it would be a good idea to help their community and collect as many donations as possible to make a hamper before Christmas to help support their local food bank.
After a challenging and difficult year, the staff and parents at Woodlands Day Nursery clubbed together to donate and help those in need during the festive period. Items that were included were, cakes, dried food, soups, chocolate, toothbrushes and much more.
Emily our manager said, ‘Putting this food package together as a nursery was a really positive way to end a very challenging year. Myself and all the staff were very pleased with the amount of things we received from our parents to help us create this and we were delighted to be able to drop all this off to a very happy food bank. We all felt very happy that we were able to help our community and we will be ensuring that we continue to do what we can to help.’
A total of 3 boxed packages where donated to Aylesbury Food Bank seeded by The Trussell Trust.
The nursery is now looking into finding other ways they can help their local community for the new year.
Thank you to everyone for their donations.
