Wonderfully resourced and equipped indoor environment
Our indoor environment is extremely well resourced and equipped. We have beechwood ‘Community Playthings’ nursery furniture that is thoughtfully designed for the stages of development, and is age-appropriate to the room it can be found in. This includes ‘play gyms’ that help promote movement, co-ordination and physical development with the use of optimally sized steps, ramps and surfaces. Our rooms are open plan and include dedicated areas for different activities, and are of a size which means our children can always explore and pursue their interests and curiosity.
Large, natural outdoor environment
We have a wonderful outdoor environment at our Staines nursery that our children understandably love to be in. It is a huge open space that allows the children to enjoy a sense of freedom and expression. We have a ‘Veggie Patch’ in which the children grow vegetables. We also have other outdoor features, such as our water play area and sand pit – as well as things to climb. We love that our outdoor space has mature trees in it, keeping a connection to nature amongst all the fun.
Encouraging children to be naturally curious and born explorers
We know that children are naturally curious and born explorers and we use those deeply ingrained biological traits in our approach to teaching, learning and development. Our environments are carefully resourced with real, authentic and intriguing items that encourage children to investigate and explore. We work hard to ensure that the spaces that children play in are engaging and interesting – offering lots of different opportunities for learning through play with knowledgeable and supportive adults who work with them.
A personalised approach for every child
We provide a personalised approach for each child based on what they are interested in, and what we ‘need’ to teach them. We deliver exciting and engaging activities, interactions, resources and opportunities to support children to acquire and develop skills . From here they learn and build upon their own knowledge – sharing experiences with the team at the nursery, along with their peers. We warmly welcome families into our setting, believing that a ‘joined up’ approach to working together will get the best out of children during their time at nursery.
