Our nursery is located on the premises of Haddenham Community Infant School on Woodways. We’re less than a mile from Haddenham and Thame Parkway railway station (10 minutes on foot or 3 minutes by car) – making us ideal for anyone looking for a nursery in Thame, Haddenham, or the surrounding area, or commuting from the station.

Fantastic environments – both indoors and outdoors

Our nursery is purpose-built and has been designed and equipped to give a warm and homely feel. We have brilliantly furnished and resourced rooms for our Babies, Toddlers, and Pre-Schoolers and a stand-out feature of Haddenham Day Nursery is its outdoor space which spreads around two sides of the nursery. We have a varied outdoor environment with a large hardstanding area to allow lots of room for ride-on play and other toys to be brought out and enjoyed. We also have digging and growing planters here, as well as sand and water play features. Beyond that, we have grassed spaces that have climbing equipment on them, and our favourite element of our outdoor play space is the beautiful willow that stands tall and wide in one corner. It floats its branches broadly across our outdoor area giving a large canopy to provide natural shade and to give the garden the feeling of a serene natural haven.

Family based and natural philosophy

Families are at the heart of what we do. We want our families and children to have the most positive experiences possible when coming to nursery. We try to replicate what children have in their homes in order for them to feel at home with us. Don’t be surprised to see “real” items in our rooms for children to play with and to explore. It’s a much better learning experience to have a bowl full of real fruit and vegetables to explore in the home corner, than to have a bowl full of plastic fruit and vegetables which all feel the same and smell the same. We believe children learn best from first-hand experiences and that’s what we strive to provide in a safe, stimulating and supportive environment.

Our staff are passionate, kind and caring people who want to see children learn and grow during their time at nursery. We work together with families to support children’s learning and share ideas on activities that families can do together at home if they choose.

OFSTED have rated our Haddenham nursery and pre-school as “Good”.

Haddenham Day Nursery can accommodate children aged between 3 months and 4 years.
