All our rooms are spacious, inviting and have a home-from-home feel. We love taking the children outside to make the most of our phenomenal outdoor space as much as possible, but a cosy, safe and fun indoor base is an essential part of nursery life. We’ve put a lot of effort into ensuring that, whilst the rooms don’t have a huge fish pond or massive vegetable patch in them, they are still environments that are full of endless opportunities for activities that delight, create joy, and facilitate development. To this end, we have mindfully chosen the highest quality equipment that delivers learning through play, and resources that allow our Practitioners to help every child to pursue their individual interests and develop their own passions.
As truly fabulous as our indoor environments are, our outdoor space is where we undeniably stand out as exceptional in what we offer our occupants.
With three acres of private grounds, and an expert team who have made the very best of every corner, we have created an array of features and facilities that are remarkable for children to spend time in. We have thoughtfully created huge diversity of ‘feelings’ within the space too, so that the children experience the natural world in the full breadth of what it can be. Our huge fish pond, with resident Carp, is a peaceful and tranquil haven. The children love spending time here, and seem to soak up the serene ambience, enjoying being quiet and relaxing with the flow of the space. Our expansive Vegetable Garden gives the children the opportunity to be involved with growing flowers, vegetables and herbs. Here, they endeavour; they nurture; they care; they get stuck in but in a purposeful way. Our thriving Insect Hotel is a site of wonder and learning.
In our quest to provide the children with amazing opportunities that are unique, we haven’t neglected the simple childhood joys – wide expanses of lawn are the hub of our outdoor provision, where the children can be exactly that – children – running, playing, exploring movement, creating games, letting loose and enjoying the freedom of grass, space and fresh air. Our outdoor areas all overlook fields and nature, meaning that the atmosphere that we create is an extremely natural one – a top priority for our nursery in High Wycombe.
