Communication with Parents
Consistent communication with parents and carers is important to us. We use an online system that only parents have access to so they can review their child’s development throughout their time with us. Parents are given one-to-one feedback at the end of a session, which will include how the child has been, what they have been up to and what they have eaten.
Planning System
Our planning system very much includes our families. We plan monthly for each child using their current development and their interests as a starting point in order to support and continue their learning. We will also suggest activities that you could do at home.
The Key Person Approach
When your child first joins our nursery, they will be allocated a Key Person who will be responsible for ensuring your child feels safe, cared for and comfortable whilst they are away from home. Both you and your child will meet their Key Person during your Settling in Sessions.
Any information we share with you will be predominantly through the Key Person. They will communicate with you at the end of each day to make sure that you know all about your child’s experiences at nursery.
Settling in Sessions
We believe that children flourish when their personal, social and emotional needs are met. With this in mind, we offer Settling in Sessions for your child before they start their nursery adventure. It’s extremely important that your child feels safe and secure in their nursery environment before they start permanent sessions. The aim of these sessions is to ensure that you and your child feel completely happy before you start permanent sessions with us.
What to Expect from Settling in Sessions
We will start to build relationships with you and your child. You will meet our team and your child’s Key Person where we will start to find out your child’s likes and dislikes, home routine and any specific requirements; such as nap times, meal preferences and comforters they need.
Our Nursery and Registration Fees
We calculate our fees based on the nurseries fee structure which is reviewed every January (we give parents at least a month’s notice of any changes) and calculate your fees by taking your child’s weekly attendance fee (from pre-booked sessions) and multiplying it by 52 (which is the number of weeks charged for per year). This is divided by 12 in order to create a monthly payment due …… and this is payable monthly in advance, on (or before) the first day of every month by Standing Order, by cheque or by Childcare Voucher.
Included within our fee structure are SMA (1&2) and Aptimil (1&2) formula milk (under 1 Yrs old) and nappies for our babies (under 2yrs). In addition, for all our children we provide Calpol, sun cream, nappy wipes, bedding and our own unique and innovative child development programmes.
To book a place we require a £75.00 non-refundable registration fee for a new family (Please note this fee is not applicable for fully funded sessions).
