About Us and Our Approach
Apple and Cherries day nursery has 3 aged group rooms, that are filled with age-appropriate resources and equipment.
We believe in nurturing children’s individual interests to help them develop and grow in all areas of their education and wellbeing. We thoughtfully create beautiful play spaces, using many varied resources to ensure children are inspired to investigate, explore, ask questions and learn.
Our vision is to provide outstanding care for all children, using an approach that fits around your child. We support them, with a view to improving every child’s life chances, promoting equality and opportunity for all.
We have an extracurricular activity called Tots on Tour. This is where staff members take the children on local outings around the community. If you would like more information about the ratios and safety, please ask the nursery for a copy of our Outings Policy.
We build positive relationships, role modelling, and create awe-inspiring learning experiences with your child that offer boundless learning opportunities that embrace each child as an individual, as a ‘unique child’. We enable each child to grow, flourish and achieve their own potential at their own pace building a healthy, independent and happy time whilst in our care at Apples and Cherries day nursery.
Our Outside Areas
Each room has its own separate outside area, with resources and equipment which is enhanced to their specific age range. Each area has its own sand area and mud kitchen, which allows children to explore play in different ways.
Preschool have a rock climbing tree, which enables them to push their physical boundaries to their limits, this not only helps improve a child’s physical abilities but allows them to make choices and engage in risk-taking.
