Settling in Sessions
At Westfields Day Nursery, we believe that children flourish when their personal, social and emotional needs are met. With this in mind, we offer Settling in Sessions for your child before they start their nursery adventure. It’s extremely important that your child feels safe and secure in their nursery environment before they start permanent sessions.
What to expect from Settling in Sessions
- We will start to build relationships with you and your child
- You will meet our team and your child’s Key Person
- We will start to find out your child’s likes and dislikes, home routine and any specific requirements such as nap times, meal preferences and comforters
The main aim of these sessions is to ensure that you and your child feel completely happy before you start permanent sessions with us.
Our Nursery and Registration Fees
Our fees are calculated from actual booked attendance, based on the nursery’s fee structure. Your payment is calculated by taking your child’s weekly attendance fee, multiplying this by 52 (the number of chargeable weeks per year), and dividing by 12 to give a monthly payment.
Your monthly payment is payable in advance, on the first day of each month by Direct Debit or voucher.
To book a place we require a £75.00 non-refundable registration fee for a new family (Please note this fee is not applicable for fully funded sessions).
Our Siblings Discount
If you already have a child at our nursery or if you’re registering a place for more than one child, we offer a 5% discount off your oldest child’s nursery fees when their younger sibling starts. Please ask at the nursery for more information on any of the above.
Westfields Day Nursery’s OFSTED Report
Ofsted is the ‘Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills’. They regulate and inspect to achieve excellence in the care of children and young people, and in education and skills for learners of all ages.
Ofsted inspects all childcare settings to ensure that they deliver effective support for children through the EYFS. Following an inspection of a setting, the nursery receives a full report documenting the inspector’s findings. Ofsted (Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills) inspects our nursery once in every 3-year cycle.
After the inspection of a setting, nurseries receive a full report of the inspector’s findings. Ofsted registered Westfields Day Nursery in December 2010 and inspects us regularly, view our latest Ofsted report.
