Homely, family-feel nursery
We have wonderful indoor environments, spread across two large rooms that are filled with beautiful toys and resources. Our size means that we have a homely feel, like a large extended family rather than being such a bustling size that individuality gets lost. The rooms have full height windows lining the walls giving the rooms a light and airy feeling and we’ve decorated our nursery in a scheme of calming and soft neutral colours which, when combined with our natural beechwood furniture, create a natural and serene environment.
Terrific outdoor space filled with enriching features
We have a terrific outdoor space – it is large with several mature trees around it as well as grassy spaces. We’ve made sure the outdoor environment goes beyond being a wonderful open space for the children to run and play in the fresh air, as we have built many features into the area to enhance the children’s outdoor experiences. We have a large sand pit, a mud kitchen, a wooden tee-pee and a hard-standing area for ride-on play. These all come together to form an outdoor environment that offers breadth and depth of enrichment, development and fun.
Nurturing the child as an individual
Our nursery approach is all about children and our desire to see children achieve to their full potential in their own unique way. We believe in nurturing children’s individual interests to help them develop and grow in all areas of their education and wellbeing. Learning through play is at the heart of what we do. We thoughtfully create beautiful play spaces, using many varied resources to ensure children are inspired to investigate, explore, ask questions and learn. Our environments are soft, cosy and welcoming. The combination of real and authentic resources paired with more traditional play items, evoke genuine awe and wonder in our indoor and outdoor spaces.
The relationship between our staff and the children and families which they care for is incredibly important to us. Our key person approach enables us to establish relationships with families and creates respectful partnerships where parents and children feel valued, safe and secure.
