Indoor and Outdoor environments
Sucklings Yard Angels at Play, tucked away in a pretty courtyard offers a wonderful home from home atmosphere. Being the smaller of our two nurseries in Ware, the nursery operates over 2 floors with a combination of large light-filled areas and more cosy quieter rooms. The environments truly reflect the personality and character of the children who attend. The practitioners take great pride in constantly refreshing the rooms to reflect both the childrens’ interests and the world around them.
Throughout the nursery there is opportunity to explore, investigate and be curious. The role play areas are imaginative and well developed, messy areas are well laid out but also practical and robust. A Community Playthings nursery gym may look just like a slide, steps, a tunnel, a curved bridge and a platform but to us that’s a pirate ship, an aeroplane, a tree house, a zoo and so it goes on. It’s also a high-quality resource offering physical development, problem solving skills, social development and a confidence builder.
Access to all the activities and resources throughout the nursery is open and available to the children as they wish, allowing them to spend time exploring and following their interests. Carefully planned intervention from our skilful practitioners ensures that this exploration supports developmental progress in all areas.
The outdoor area is well thought out and offers opportunity to extend all the play and learning that takes places indoors. The multipurpose surface allows for quality outdoors experiences throughout the year whatever the weather. There are dens and cosy areas along with a splendid mud kitchen and sand pit.
There are climbing cubes which the children use to climb on, makes dens from to read and relax in and invent games and adventures.
