Indoor Environments
Angels at Play – Park Road offers a wonderful environment for the children. Our indoor space is superb with carefully thought out layouts in each age-specific room. We have tailored the equipment and resources in each room specifically to the needs of the children in them based on their stages of development.
Throughout the nursery there is a neutral colour scheme which beautifully enhances the large light filled rooms. We know that by surrounding the children with a soft and gentle colour palette we allow them to use all of their attention and headspace to get the most from our Practitioners, equipment and resources rather than being overstimulated. We partner our neutral decoration with pale wood furniture and predominantly ‘real resources’ (rather than plastic ones) to give our children a natural feeling and developmental experience in the ‘real world’.
We have a wealth of resources at Angels at Play Park Road, which we use to ensure that each child gets developmental progress in all areas, experiences a breadth of activities, enjoys lots of opportunities, and is able to pursue their interests and spend their time in ways they want to.
All of our equipment is of the highest quality and is Early Years specific – designed to provide learning and development through play and enjoyment. An example of this is our Community Playthings Nursery Gym. This is a wonderful feature offering physical development, acquisition of physical skills, social development, confidence building and trial-and-error problem solving – all through playing on a structure of a slide, steps, a tunnel, a curved bridge and a platform, where all sorts of games and imaginative adventures can happen.
Outdoor Environments
Angels at Play Park Road has fantastic outdoor spaces. Each age group has their own dedicated garden where we can offer an extension of the play and learning opportunities available indoors. There’s ample room for free play, exploration and extension of movement, and active games. We’ve also put lots of specific additional features into them – a Mud Kitchen, a large sandpit, big climbing equipment, a Sensory Garden, a Growing Patch and dens and cosy areas. These offer our children so much stimulation and enrichment across a variety of different experiences.
Park Road nursery has a rabbit who the children love interacting with. She provides us with the opportunity to teach the children about how to care for her and animals, what she needs and how to meet those needs, the beginnings of responsibility and kindness to all living things.
