Homemade Paper Clay is easy, simple and fun to make! If you would like your clay to be a whiter clay finish, you can use toilet paper instead of shredded newspaper. (Shredded newspaper is cheaper and more eco friendly)
What You Need to Make Paper Clay
- Shredded newspaper ripped into long strips
- 1 large bowl
- A jug of warm water
- Flour – 1 part flour to 4 parts pulp
- Some salt
- A hand blender or mixer
Next Steps
- Fill a bowl with your shredded paper and warm water
- Mix the water and shredded paper up thoroughly and make sure it is fully covered and able to saturate the shredded paper.
- Leave over night or for a few hours
- Blend with a hand blender
- Squeeze out the excess water
- Add enough flour so the mixture starts to mix together and form like a texture
- Add a cup of salt and continue to mix
Now you should have your paper clay. Enjoy!
