It doesn’t take much to keep your children entertained, especially if we teach them the value of simple play. Let your imagination run free; safe household items make for excellent playthings.
Take a household item nearby and see how your children can turn it into a toy. For instance:
- Roll duct tape back and forth on the floor
- Loop colourful pipe cleaners in and out of a colander
- Play the drums using saucepans and wooden spoons
- Crinkle an empty water bottle
- Turn cardboard boxes or shoe boxes into something creative
Have a good explore around your home and you’re bound to find plenty of other objects your children can turn into an exciting toy that will keep them entertained, whilst helping them to use their imagination.
