At our nursery, the resources we use with your children are very often made of natural material and where possible the real item itself, but does it really help your child learn more than when using plastic resources?
Whilst we do feel that some plastic items have a role to play at nursery (e.g. plastic animals and dinosaurs), part of our philosophy is that we believe that children learn better by exploring authentic materials over their plastic imitations.
